This is a great movie showing a U.S. Army Ranger coming home from combat and dealing with his PTSD and other problems life is throwing at him. Made in 2020, the main character is having trouble having faith in Jesus Christ with his parents dying in a strange accident and his military friends dying in battle.
The troubles he is facing are very difficult, causing him to want to take his own life in the midst of the pain. He is a fighter though and perseveres with God's help, as God shows up just in time with his hometown pastor and a nice doctor lady who helps him cope with his feelings.
The twist of the movie deals with his best friend getting in trouble with a local gang member who is in over his head. The climatic end makes for a good movie and thankfully for the main characters involved, things work out as best as they could of with forgiveness, love, and submission to a higher power.
The hardest part for the main character was not praying with a Ranger friend who ended up dying on patrol. He couldn't forgive himself or God for this happening until he was put through the fire of affliction. Thankfully, he had some people there that loved him and could help, and he allowed them into his life through the fears and pain.
